Get The Look With Multipanel Linda Barker: Greyscale Scandi Bathroom

What is Scandinavian Design?

The main elements of Scandinavian home design can be summed up by simplicity, minimalism and functionality. This need for cleanliness and simplicity is because Scandinavian homes were traditionally small, meaning minimalist living was a must. The colour schemes used in Scandi style keep rooms looking as bright as possible due to the long, dark winter months.

How do I design a Scandinavian Bathroom?

Designing a Scandi bathroom is a great way to maximise your available space and add light to the room.

Linda Barker has teamed up with Multipanel to create the Linda Barker Multipanel range of bathroom wallboards. This stunning collection enhances any new or existing bathroom with a long-lasting, low-maintenance alternative to tiles. To further highlight this, Linda Barker has created the "Designed by Linda" range of mood boards and inspiration to help people design the perfect space.

Bathroom Walls & Floors

The best place to start is with bathroom walls as these are the surfaces in your bathroom which make the biggest impact. For this look, Linda has chosen Multipanel Concrete Formwood. It's grey tones combine well with the white and black fixtures and fittings she has chosen and also bring texture to the walls. Instead of tiling, tile-effect bathroom wall boards are used, giving the look of a tiled wall without the costs or maintenance.

For the floor, the Medina Black from the Multipanel Click Range of bathroom flooring takes the top spot with its contrasting colour, durable ceramic coating and natural texture.

Vanity Unit & Toilet

Next in Linda's sights is the bathroom vanity unit. For this mood board, Linda has chosen a modern and minimalist design with the Royo Structure. Made from moisture-resistant wood and finished with a contrasting metal frame, this bathroom vanity unit ticks all the boxes of Scandinavian style and boasts impressive storage space.

Mounted above the Royo Structure is the Symphony LED light up mirror. This clean-looking LED mirror comes with a whole host of features such as a built-in shaver socket and a demister pad, so you can see yourself in even the steamiest of bathrooms. It doesn't stop there, this mirror has Bluetooth connectivity, meaning you can play your favourite music and podcasts while you shower or bathe.

For the toilet, a clean and simple back-to-wall pan enhances the aesthetic of the room without using too much floor space by locating the cistern inside the wall.

Showering Space

Next up on the list is creating an amazing showering space. Linda has suggested the eye-catching Niagara Observa by Aquadart. Manufactured from brass, stainless steel and ABS plastic this Observa Shower Set from Niagara will not only look good but perform as well as it looks. Couple this with a Shower enclosure or bath shower screen of your choice and you have a fantastic showering space that will last years to come.

Accessories

From here, you can accessorise your bathroom with matching decor. Bathroom plants and wall art are a great choice to add splashes of contrasting colour to any space. Rubberduck bathrooms also have a range of IP rated bathroom lighting that will further enhance all your hard work.
