Multipanel Annouce Price Increase August 2022
Multipanel, the UK’s largest manufacturer of waterproof wall panels, has accounted a price increase which will come into effect from August 2022 and could see prices increase by upto 15% for the consumer.
Multipanel have said that the increase in prices is due to increase in the cost of material and energy cost to manufacture mainly brought on by the Russian Ukraine war.
Multipanel have released a statement which states:
“2022 has brought several unforeseen challenges to our supply chain. The illegal war in Ukraine has impacted the availability and costs of our raw materials and has driven energy and fuel prices to all-time highs. This has led to significant unforeseen cost increases across our manufacturing and distribution operations.
As the UK’s largest manufacturer of waterproof wall panels we have strong established partnerships with our suppliers and have worked closely with them to mitigate cost increases wherever possible. However, as is the case across many sectors, the upward pressure on prices is unrelenting with significant increases across our entire supply chain.
A key priority for us is to maintain a sustainable supply chain, protecting product availability and service levels into 2023 and beyond. In doing so, we have made significant commitments across our supply base to secure the materials required.
Our material and operational costs have increased significantly since January leaving us with no option but to increase our prices
We will continue to work hard with our supplier partners to control input costs and are committed to providing a sustainable product with excellent service. Due to the variable and extreme market conditions we are unable to guarantee this will be the last increase for a defined period”
