Ply Is Back – Perform Panels

Perform Panels are now back available in Plywood.

NU-Style Products, the manufacturers of Perform Panel bathroom wall panels, are delighted to inform you that they have now sourced an alternative suitable birch plywood for the manufacture of our Nu- Lock panels.

Back in June NU-Style Products changed their core material of their Perform Panels from ply wood to exterior grade MDF due to global circumstances out-with their control. Due to the situation in Russia there was a lack of quality plywood in the marketplace to allow the manufacture our Nu-Lock panels. There were also concerns regarding its longterm availability and continuous supply.

Perform Panels have now successfully secured a 7-ply birch plywood, which has all the qualities and properties of the previous board. This product has been tested and trialed and meets the strict criteria and rigorous quality checks. In addition to this, important to their core values, have ensured that any material was sourced ethically, and are pleased to advise the new plywood is manufactured in Europe.

Therefore, as of 1st November, NU-Style will begin to supply their Nu-Lock Perform Panels in plywood again. Unfortunately, due to the demand of plywood, this will be a gradual introduction with full capacity expected as of January 2023. This will also incur a slightly longer lead time of around 7/10 days and due to the volatility of timber pricing currently, there is a slight uplift in the price of our plywood Nu-Lock over MDF panels.
