Roman Celebrates Second Queen’s Award

In April 2022, Roman Showers was honoured with the Queen’s Award for International Trade – for a second time. On Tuesday 1st November, Roman celebrated winning the prestigious award at its headquarters in County Durham.

The Lord Lieutenant then made a presentation to the Roman Team and presented our Chief Executive Officer, David Osborne, with the Queen’s Award glass chalice and certificate.

The Queen’s Award is the most prestigious corporate accolade that a UK business can win. The awards track sustained excellence in export growth over a three year period. They also cover all areas of business performance and best practice – with strong emphasis on sustainability.

The Lord Lieutenant of County Durham, Sue Snowdon, visited Roman and was given a tour of the 400,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facilities, including Roman’s three factories, showroom and testing facilities.
