Showroom Sales Assistant/Administration Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, reliable and dynamic individual to join the showroom team at Rubberduck Bathrooms.

We are looking for a new member to join our family run business in Redcar. We design, supply and install all kinds of kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms.

Duties will be working in a busy showroom assisting customers and booking appointments on our computer system; Answering phone call enquiries and various other responsibilities such as placing and progressing orders with suppliers.

Applicants must be computer literate as job role includes some admin duties such as creating customer invoices, creating email quotes and placing online orders using Microsoft Excel and Word, along with other internal company systems.

Applicants must be both professional and friendly both in the showroom and on the telephone, when dealing with customers. They must be confident with dealing with the public on a face to face basis.

The working hours for this position are still under discussion, but would require a minimum commitment of 16hours and the applicant must be available for Saturdays.

Any interviews would be held at our Redcar showroom Monday to Wednesday, with an immediate start date for the successful candidate.

The successful applicant will excel at proactively developing new sales opportunities by understanding customer requirements and building a rapport with them. They must also have proven administrative experience with the ability to implement systems to ensure accurate records are maintained.

Requirements:

· Previous experience essential, preferably in bathroom or kitchen sales

· Highly computer literate with the ability to learn in-house systems

· Advanced administrative skills with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office

· Ability to maintain comprehensive records of all customer requirements, and ensure appropriate follow-up

· Excellent customer service skills

· Close attention to detail and able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision

· Ability to build and maintain an excellent rapport with customers and other team members

· Good levels of literacy and numeracy

· Well-presented, credible and professional

Rubberduck Bathrooms Ltd is an independent kitchen, bedroom and bathroom retailer specialising in the bespoke design, supply, and installation of high-quality home improvement products. In addition to a high street showroom, warehouses, and a trade desk, we also have a strong presence in the online sales market.

Pay: From £9.50 per hour
