Bathroom Radiators & Towel Radiators
At Rubberduck Bathrooms we offer a wide range of bathroom towel radiators, also known as heated towel rails, ladder rails or ladder radiators. Our range of bathroom radiators come in a wide range of sizes and finishes to suit most domestic bathrooms including a range of chrome, anthracite, white, black and stainless steel towel radiators.
Heated towel rails can provide enough heat output to heat your bathroom and dry your towels when the central heating comes on. Another great feature is the ability to install a heating element inside which connects to the mains electricity supply. This gives you the option to turn on the bathroom radiator even when the heating is off, during the summer months, allowing for dry towels all year round.
Do Towel Radiators Heat The Bathroom Or Just Dry Towels?
Yes, towel radiators heat the bathroom. Heated towel rails will provide heat to warm the bathroom and also dry your towels. It is worth using our room heat calculator to work our the size radiator you require. A vary larger bathroom, however, may require another source of heating to sufficiently warm the room, ie a normal radiator or underfloor heating.
Do Heated towel Rails Replace Radiators?
Yes, you can replace a radiator in your bathroom with a heated towel rail. The easiest way to fit your new towel radiator is to replace a radiator of the same or similar width to reduce the amount of plumbing required. Your new towel radiator should be able to connect to the existing pipework and even existing radiator valves. It is good to note though that a standard radiator will produce more heat for its size than a towel rail, so increasing the height of the towel rail may be required to reach the desired room temperature.
Do Towel Rail Connect To Central Heating Systems?
Yes, towel rails can connect to your existing central heating system. If you don’t have a plumbed heating system and have electric radiators, electric versions of towel rail are also available.
Do Towel Radiators Only Dry Towel When Central Heating Is On?
If you have a plumbed towel rail then the towel radiator will only be hot when the central heating is on. If you have an electric towel Radiator then these can be turned on and off as required. If you are plumbing your towel radiator then you could opt for a dual fuel option allowing for plumbing central heating and electric option allowing for the towel rail to be warm even when the central heating is turned off.
Which is better, chrome, white or black radiator?
Painted radiators of either white, black or Anthracite with produce on average 20-30% more heat output than an equitant size chrome towel radiator. So if heat is the main factor in purchasing a new radiator then a coloured radiator would be better.
At Rubberduck Bathrooms we also offer a wide range of radiators include an exclusive range of vertical radiators.
