Cleaning Tips To Make Your Bathroom Sparkle

10 Dec 2015, 4:26 PM
Most would agree that one of the worst jobs in the home is cleaning the bathroom. However, despite the fact that most people hate doing it, they usually admit that they do like their bathroom to look and feel clean. So how can you have a bathroom that shines without spending hours in there?

Below are a few cleaning tips to make your bathroom sparkle

clean the mirrors

To clean your mirrors, you can smear some shaving cream over the surface and then wipe it continuously until it has all evaporated. This will leave your mirrors shiny and streak free and, as a bonus, your mirrors will not fog up for weeks!

squeegee in the shower

The shower can be cleaned with a bathroom product designed for tiles. However, to ensure that you do not have to break your back cleaning the shower each time, you should place a sponge or squeegee in the shower and encourage everyone to wipe down the walls and shower doors each time they have a shower. This will prevent soap scum from drying onto the walls, making cleaning easier & avoiding unclean Roman Showers. For that extra sparkly clean look, you can use Roman Shower Ultra Care, to add easy clean to any glass surfaces - you'll certainly see the difference.

clean the bath

Fill your bathtub with hot water and drain. If your bath has an overhead shower, you can simply rinse the bath with hot water before applying a cream bathroom cleaner. Leaving the bathroom cleaner to sit for about ten to fifteen minutes should make it easier to remove any soap scum – the last thing you want is for your Carron Baths or Clearwater Baths to be dirty!
Following the above tips will mean getting your bathroom, Burlington accessories & wetrooms sparkling with minimum scrubbing and effort.

de-clutter

If you want your bathroom to sparkle, then you need to make sure it is not cluttered. A cluttered bathroom will look untidy and messy and, no matter how clean it is, it will fail to shine. Spare bottles of shampoo, shower gel, and soaps should be stored out of sight, and hairbrushes full of hair are a definite no-no. Tidy away all items that do not belong. If you do not have a cupboard in the bathroom where these items can be stored, put them in a cupboard in another room or the garage. Alternatively, buy some moveable storage units for the bathroom and store these items in there, out of sight.

Clean the toilet

To clean the toilet, pour some disinfectant or bleach into the bowl and leave it for a few minutes. Place the toilet brush into the bowl with the bleach or disinfectant as this will ensure that the brush is clean before you use it. After a few minutes, clean the inside of the bowl and underneath the rim and then flush the toilet, taking care to rinse the toilet brush in the flushing water.

Shower Doors

Clean your shower doors with a paste made from baking soda and white vinegar. Spread this paste on thickly and leave it for at least an hour. You can then remove it with a damp cloth and buff with a dry microfiber cloth.

remove any limescale

To clean the shower head and remove any limescale, place the showerhead inside a plastic bag filled with white vinegar. Tie an elastic band around the showerhead and bag and leave it to soak overnight. The following morning you can clean it by just running the water and giving it a wipe.

Make the taps sparkle

Clean the bathroom sink in the same way that you cleaned the bath; to make taps sparkle, though, simply soak paper towels in white vinegar and wrap the towels around the taps. Leave for ten to fifteen minutes before removing and wiping the taps with a dry paper towel. This should only be done with stainless steel or chrome taps.
