Eight Fabulously Festive Touches To Give Your Bathroom This Christmas
There are stockings hanging above the fireplace in
the living room, a tree lit up brightly in the hall, and the smell of
turkey permeating through the kitchen - but what about the bathroom
this Christmas?
It would be a shame to leave the room bare when there are a number of fabulously festive touches to give it. After all, everyone uses the toilet facilities – from those who live in the home to guests who just pop by for a visit. Therefore, you can’t go wrong by following these tricks to making your bathroom
more festive this holiday season.
Scented Candles
A lot of people have already clocked onto the benefit of scented candles in the bathroom. If you haven’t, then now is the perfect time to do so. This Christmas you should be looking at aromas like spiced apple, cinnamon, pine and chestnut. Essentially, any warming scent that reminds you of Christmas.
shower curtain
Those with young children might already be in the habit of using playful shower curtains. If you are more minimalist, then why not opt for a festive-themed shower curtain in rich plum tones or red and gold palettes with a subtle snowflake pattern.
bathmat
Much like your shower curtain, now marks the perfect time to switch to seasonal furnishings. If less is more for you, find a luxuriously thick bathmat in deep purple and red hues to add a touch of festivity. But don’t worry if you've got kids, there’s nothing wrong with drying your feet on an image of Santa Claus either!
towels
Your towels don’t necessary have to feature an image of a tree or a reindeer – not that there’s anything wrong with going down this route! However, if you prefer a more stylish addition to your winter furnishings, some quality red and white towels will look the part.
fake snow
You might have noticed that some people use fake snow to decorate their windows. This can sometimes come in a spray can or can be stencilled on. Having snow on your bathroom window might not do much good if it’s upstairs, but you will get some satisfaction out of using it on your bathroom mirror for a frosted touch.
air fresheners
A festive air freshener will work similarly to a scented candle. Only, with an air freshener, it can always be on the go. The smell of Christmas will surely have you gravitating into the bathroom even when you don’t have to answer the call of nature.
festive soaps
A festive-themed block of soap is such an easy option. You can leave these everywhere – from in the shower to by the sink. Often, you can find Christmas soaps in the shape of Christmas trees and stars, or in beautiful pearlescent shades, as well as deliciously spiced and fruity scents. Remember, if you are partial to your own soap you can always use the festive-themed soap as decoration only.
bells
Attach some bells to the door and you'll hear ringing whenever you enter or exit the room. The sleigh bells will remind you that Santa is on his way.
good luck!
Good Luck!Depending on the size of the room, why not use a few of these ideas to add some fabulous touches to your bathroom this Christmas. The festive theme is so easy to put together that you could even rotate these ideas for next year.
And while you're feeling festive why not give your bathroom a gift by sprucing it up with a new set of taps, shower rails or hand set. These simple updates can give your bathroom a new lease of life, which can last for years to come. Christmas is the perfect time of year to grab yourself a bargain, as stores launch clearance sales to make room for their New Year stock, so now is the time to buy!
