Website Sales & Customer Service Adviser

Due to an increase in online sales and expansion of the business, we (Rubberduck Bathrooms Ltd) are looking to employ a new member of staff to work alongside our existing team. This position is a full time permanent position. Hours are flexible and job share options are also available.

Job Overview

Working as part of our online telephone sales and Customer Advisor team responsible to Manager and the Showroom Manager you are responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of a rapidly expanding online business. Key being to provide an outstanding, professional customer shopping experience to all customers and to make sales over the telephone.

Roles & Responsibilities

Sales

·         Answering inbound telephone calls and answering customer questions and queries.

·         Advising customers on products up-selling and cross selling.

·         Processing orders and payments over the phone.

Customer Service

·         Assisting online shoppers to find the goods and products they are looking for.

·         Delivering all round excellent customer service and ensuring customers have a great shopping experience.

·         Responsible for dealing with customer queries and complaints with the support of the  management team.

·         Answering product and delivery queries from customers over the phone.

·         Giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers.

·         Processing & Reporting

·         Working within established guidelines.

·         Sales order processing.

·         Being responsible for processing card payments.

·         Reporting discrepancies and problems to the supervisor.

General

·         Keeping the your workspace tidy and clean, this may include cleaning at times.

·         Packaging small items ready for delivery.

·         Processing delivery labels and affixing to correct product/order.

·         Ordering in items as required.

·         Receiving and storing the delivery of any stock

·         Keeping up to date with special promotions.

·         Adding additional products to our online website and updating products as required

Skills

·         Experience in the bathroom industry or plumbing industry required, however consideration wold be given to the right person with technical minded knowledge.

·         You should have a comprehensive understanding of your area of sales i.e. retail, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, bathroom equipment etc.

·         Computer literate. Good computer skills are a must with a working knowledge of the  internet, emails, word processing etc.

·         Having a friendly and engaging personality.

·         Comfortable working with members of the public.

·         Should have a confident manner.

·         Excellent Telephone Manner.

·         Must be helpful and polite.

·         Able to work as part of a sales team.

·         Knowledge of inventory techniques.

·         Should be articulate.

Hours / Wage

Average 37.5 hours a week, Monday – Saturday Mon-Friday 9-5 Saturdays 11am – 4pm (working a Saturday once a month) National Minimum Wage/Living Wage. Or negotiable for the right person
