Which bath is right for me?
Which Bath Is
Right For Me?
Baths are what make a bathroom, they are the key component for the room. There are many different types of bath from many different bath manufacturers available on the market today, but which bath is right for you? Installing a bath solely depends on your physical size, orientation and size of your bathroom, and last but not the least your personal choice and budget. There are various types of baths available in the market such as Standard Baths, Double Ended Baths, Shower Baths, Corner Baths, Freestanding Baths, Whirlpool Baths plus a range of alternative shaped & space saving baths.
Standard Baths
Shop nowStandard Baths have a rectangular shape, with the waste and taps at one end and incorporate a sloped end at the opposite end. Standard Baths are often cheaper as they're more popular, mass produced and usually made of acrylic material in various thicknesses, but are also available in different materials such as steel.
Shower Baths
Shop nowShower baths usually come in a P or L Shapes. This shaping gives a larger showering area to one end of the bath. Shower baths often come with their own dedicated shower screen and bath-panel to suite the unique shape of the bath. The advantage of these types of baths is that a person can stand and have shower in these baths and can also enjoy the pleasure of bathing.
These are perfect for bathrooms that don’t have the space for both a bath and a separate shower. Standard baths can also be used as a shower bath with the use of a shower screen or shower curtain. Shower screens usually comes in handy at the time of
showering, as it doesn't allow water to splash, and you can maintain a dry bathroom floor after taking a shower.
Shower baths are normally constructed of acrylic material in various thicknesses and are available in a range of sizes. P and L shape baths are normally accompanied with the wider end available at either end of the bath.
Corner Baths
Shop nowCorner Bathtubs are baths deigned to be installed against two walls in a corner of a room. Corner baths comes in two variations, a simple triangular tub and an offset corner tub. Home owners often make mistakes when selecting the correct hand bath tubs (as they usually come in right or left handed options). Depending on your bathroom orientation it's very important to select the correct hand bath for your bathroom. Corner baths are normally constructed of acrylic material in various thicknesses and are available in a range of sizes.
Freestanding Baths
Shop nowFreestanding baths add a main feature to a bathroom and are either designed to be installed away from the walls and fully freestanding or fitted against one wall. Freestanding baths are available in various styles including traditional, modern & contemporary styles. Traditional style freestanding baths are often referred to as roll top baths. Roll top baths usually come with feet, often in the style of a lions. Roll top baths are ideal for large bathrooms as they can be placed in the centre of bathroom and provide a dramatic look and feel. Roll top traditional style baths can be installed with a Floor Standing Bath Filler tap but some also come with the option of deck mounted taps. Modern and contemporary style freestanding baths offer clean lines and defined shapes and are available in acrylic construction or either a stone construction - modern freestanding bathrooms offer a real statement.
Whirlpool Baths
Whirlpool baths were once only found in high-quality luxury hotel suites, as they were very expensive. But now they're much more reasonably priced, which suits everyone's budget. They've swiftly increased in fame because of their relaxing properties and hydrotherapy health benefits, which are well known for comforting & banishing away aches & pains.
Modern Whirlpool baths use a standard bath, standard double ended bath or corner bath which is reinforced and fitted with a jet and whirlpool system. This gives you a whole range of shapes and sizes to choose from, even the smallest bathrooms, can
accommodate - so anybody can install one.
These days Whirlpool baths come with different jet options and you can have 11 to 24 whirlpool jets, air jets or even with a combination of air and whirlpool jets. For the added wow factor, kinetic lights can be installed with the whirlpool tub that sets a beautiful mood in the bathroom and a re-heating system is great for keeping your bath water hot for longer.
Double Ended Baths
Shop nowSimilar to a standard bath in shape and construction, double ended baths have the waste and tap ledge in the centre of the Bathtub and feature a sloped end at each end of the bath. This allows you to lay either way round in the bath, making it
double ended. Many larger double ended baths have room for two people to bathe in (double ended baths also come in different materials and sizes).
